To customize your user profiles according to your needs, TalentCards lets you use custom fields.

Here's how in a few steps:

  1. Sign in to your TalentCards account and go to Users (1)
  2. Click on Customize (2)
  3. Click Add field (3)

4. On the dialog box that pops-up, choose one of the following field types:

  • Text field: Use this field for text, number, and regular plain data
  • Dropdown: Use this field to create predefined options to be selected from a list 
  • Checkbox: Use this field for simple YES/NO options
  • Date & Time: Use this field for date and/or time options

Visible on Mobile:

The Custom Field can be visible on mobile, under the User's profile in the Talent Cards application.

To create a custom field review the steps below:

Text field

  1. Give your field a name (up to 30 chars) (1) and click Next.
  2. Choose whether or not your field is Required (2), Visible on reports (3), Visible on mobile (4), give it a default value (or leave blank) (5), and click Save.

Dropdown 

  1. Give your field a name (up to 30 chars) and click Next.
  2. In the respective field, add your drop-down list items (i.e., type an item and press Enter to add) (1), and click Next.
  3. Choose whether or not your field is Visible on reports (3) or Visible on mobile (4), choose one of your items as a default (or not) (2), and click Save (4).

Checkbox

  1. Give your field a name (up to 30 chars) and click Next.
  2. Choose whether or not your field is Visible on reports (2) or Visible on mobile (3), set its Default state to Checked or Unchecked (1), and click Save

Date & Time

  1. Give your field a name (up to 30 chars) and click Next.
  2. Choose whether or not your field is Required (1), Visible on reports (2), Visible on mobile (3), set your date-time format from the respective drop-down list (4), and click Save.

Once a field is created you can see it on your Customize options (1)

By default, the new field is unchecked. Check it, if you want to add it as a column on your user list (2)

To edit the custom field follow the steps below: 

  1. Click on Edit (1).
  2. Select which custom field you want to edit (2) and proceed with editing the custom field.

To Delete a custom field follow the steps below:

  1. Click on Delete (1).
  2. Select which custom field you want to delete (2).

How to edit custom fields in bulk

Owners and Admins can also edit the custom fields of many users at once directly from the users' table using inline editing.

To do this:

  • Sign in to your TalentCards account and go to Users (1).
  • Make sure the fields you want to edit are listed in the table (see how in this article).
  • Select the users you want to perform a mass action on (2) and click the Edit icon (3).

Now, cells in the User Table are editable. You can fill, or edit them, and remove or change the info.

You can also apply the same info for all fields in a column at once. You can:

  • Add info in the All in column (4) and it will apply to all users you have selected instantly.
  • Add/edit info in any of the user field cells, or remove them by clicking X (5).
  • For custom fields with preset options, you can select info from a drop-down menu (6).

After editing the info, confirm your changes by clicking on the Tick icon (7) to save.
