TalentCards allows you to schedule notifications that will be sent to your users via push notification or email for the following three events:

  • When you’ve created a new card set

  • When the user has any incomplete card sets

  • When the user has been inactive after a certain number of days

To set up scheduled notifications you need to first enable them, then select which ones you’d like to use, and finally specify your group’s time zone. Follow these steps:

Enabling a scheduled notification

  1. Sign in to your TalentCards account.

  2. Expand the top-left menu (1) and click on App control (2).

  3. Select Communication (3) from the left side menu. Under the field labeled Notify users at (4) you can select what time you’d like users to receive the notification.

  4. Under Push notifications (5) select which notifications you’d like to activate, and adjust their frequency (6) to your preference (daily, monthly, or weekly).

  5. If you’d like the notifications and their settings you’ve chosen to apply to all groups in your TalentCards portal, click Apply to many (7). If you’d like them to apply only to the group you are currently in, click Save changes (8).

Scheduled notifications

Once you’ve enabled and scheduled at least one of the available notifications, it is automatically displayed in your Scheduled notifications list. To view your scheduled notifications:

  1. Sign in to your TalentCards account.

  2. Expand the top-left menu (1) and click on Scheduled notifications (2).

  3. Here you’ll see a list of the currently active scheduled notifications. You can choose to:

    • Edit notification message (3): change the text that will appear in the notification

    • Send notification now (4): the notification will be sent immediately, instead of at its scheduled send-time

    • Cancel notification (5): this will change the status of the notification from Pending to Cancelled.

Setting the Timezone

The time at which your scheduled notification gets sent depends on the timezone that you have applied to your group. You can change a group’s time zone by following these steps:

  1. Sign in to your TalentCards account.

  2. Expand the top-left menu and click System settings (2).

  3. Go to Groups (3) and click on the edit icon (4) to change the timezone.

  4. Click Save (5).
