How to work with card set folders

TalentCards allows you to easily group Card Sets into Folders.

Folders can be used to group Card Sets, share them with Learners, or use them for administrative purposes. View this video for more information.

Creating a new Folder

To create a folder, follow the steps below:

1. Sign in to your TalentCards account as an Administrator and select Card Sets (1).

2. Select one of your card sets and drag and drop it onto a second card set that you would like to be added to the same folder (2).

3. Type a name for the newly created folder (3), specify if you wish the folder to be visible to Learners in the app (4), and click Next (5).

4. The created folder (6) is now available under your Card Sets tab.
   ​

   

    

5. You can add more sets or sequences to the folder by dragging and dropping them (7).
   ​

   

    

6. To remove a set from a folder, open the folder, hover over the set, and click the remove icon (8).
   ​

   

Note: For the folder to be visible to Learners, at least one card set assigned to the folder needs to be published.

Alternatively, if you are using a list view (1) instead of a grid view:

1. Select the Card Sets you want to add to the folder (2), click Mass actions (3), and select Create folder (4).
   ​

   

    

2. Specify the folder’s name (5) and description (6) and click Create (7).
   ​

   

   
   When in list view, you can toggle the elements in the table between the Detailed view and the Merged View (8):
   ​

   

• Detailed View displays a list of all card sets in your portal.

• Merged View consolidates all elements in your portal into a single list, where Folders, Sequences, and individual card sets each appear as separate line items.

Folder options

To access the folder options, follow the steps below.

1. Sign in to your TalentCards account as an Administrator and select Card Sets (1).

2. Click Edit folder (2).

3. Click Edit details (3).
   ​

   

    

4. You can now change the folder’s name (4) and description (5), convert the folder to a sequence (6), as well as set whether the folder is visible to Learners in the TalentCards app or not (7).
   ​

   

Note: A folder that contains a Sequence cannot be converted to a Sequence. You will need to remove the Sequence from the folder to be able to convert it to a Sequence.

When using the application, Learners will only see folders if the “Visible for learners in app” option is enabled (refer to the instructions on editing folder details to activate this feature). The elements within the folder will be displayed to Learners in alphabetical order based on the title of each card set.
