How to create a new Card Set from a PDF

One of the ways to create an instant set in TalentCards is by uploading a PDF file. This will convert your PDF into a microlearning version in the form of a card set. The system uses all text, including text within images, to create the cards. Note that only text is generated at this stage—images are not yet supported. This option is available only for Premium plans. You can find the available plans here.

To create a set from a PDF file:

1. Sign in to your TalentCards account as an Administrator.

2. Go to Create set (1).

3. Set a name (2) and description (3) for the new card set.

4. Select Standard set (4) (PDF file upload is only available for Standard sets).

5. Choose Create a set from a PDF file (5), and then select Continue with our new editor (6).

6. Drag and drop your file or browse (7) to select your PDF. The file size is limited to 150 MB.
   ​

   

7. After the PDF file is uploaded, you can choose to generate the set using all pages (8) or a specific page range (9). The page range is limited to a maximum of 50 pages. If your PDF contains more than 50 pages, you must specify a page range.

8. When ready, click on Create set (10).

The card set generation process usually takes 3–5 minutes. You will receive a notification once your set is ready for review.
