How to add a new card set (old editor)

To create a new card set

1. Sign in to your TalentCards account as an Administrator.

2. Go to Card Sets (1) and click on Create Set (2).

3. Enter the new card set's Name (3) (up to 80 characters) and write a Description (4) (up to 200 characters).
   ​

   

4. The type of the new card set can be a Standard set (5) or a Spaced Repetition set (6). With the Standard card set, you can create single-sided cards, double-sided cards, quizzes, polls, and surveys. The spaced repetition card set uses the spaced repetition technique where you repeat material in increased intervals to have the learner review what they've learned before they forget it.

5. Select if you want to Create an instant set (7) or if you want to Create a set from scratch (8). The “instant set” uses our AI tool to generate a complete card set. You can find more on how to generate a card set using TalentCards’ built-in AI tool here.

   The “create set from scratch” allows you to add your texts, make your card backgrounds, and upload and attach your images, video, and audio files to cards, using either the old or new card set editor.

6. Choose to continue with the old editor (9) which is the foundation for content creation within TalentCards. It provides users with essential tools to craft engaging card sets, including text entry, image, video and audio clip insertion, and basic formatting options. While functional, the old editor has its limitations, primarily in terms of customization and advanced features.

7. Users often expressed a desire for greater flexibility and creativity in designing their card sets. The introduction of the new editor (10) represents a significant leap forward in the editing experience offered by TalentCards.It is in Beta Version, indicating, it is in a phase of development where it is not yet considered a final, fully polished product, but rather being tested by users to gather feedback and identify any issues or bugs that need to be addressed before its official release. Designed with user feedback and usability in mind, the new editor boasts an array of enhanced features and tools aimed at empowering users to create dynamic and visually appealing card sets. Adding content manually to the new card set (old editor)

To find out how you can build cards with the new editor, review this guide here. On the old editor's left-side panel (1), you will see a list of all the elements contained in this card set. From here you can:

• Add cards, quizzes, polls, and/or surveys.

• Add labels to cards and quizzes for administrator use (labels are not visible to your learners in the TalentCards app).

• Clone cards and other elements in your card set.

• Hide or delete elements in your card set.

On the editor's right-side panel (2) you can:

• Add text, background, or attachments (video, audio, or hyperlink) to a card.

• Edit a question and its answer options (3).

• Edit quiz settings (4).
